Hi there, I'm Ashley Huang!
I'm a junior at Cornell University studying Information Science with Concentrations in Interactive Technologies and UX Design. My journey has been driven by a fascination with technology's potential to create meaningful and user-centric solutions.
From a young age, my creative journey was shaped by my education in arts-focused middle and high schools, where music was central to my life. This background instilled in me a passion for innovation and design, which has guided my exploration into fields like data science, network security, and product design.
This journey has culminated in my current focus on product design, where I blend my technical skills with creative thinking to craft innovative solutions. My arts background, combined with my technical expertise, allows me to create user-centered designs that are both functional and engaging. I am driven by a commitment to continuous learning and a desire to apply my diverse experiences to make a meaningful impact in the world of design.

I enjoy playing and sharing my music
I'm a multi-instrumentalist with a deep love for playing the guzheng and violin. Music has been a significant part of my life, and I enjoy sharing my performances and exploring different musical traditions. A fun fact is that I won Gold Award at the Huaxia Cup International Guzheng Competition two years ago.
At Cornell, I'm part of the Cornell Eastern Music Ensemble, where I play both instruments and serve as their Frontend Developer Lead.
Dance brings me joy and creative expression
Though I'm new to dancing, I find joy in exploring different dance styles and expressing myself through movement. As the Performance Director of Assorted Aces Dance Team, I also lead and organize dance performances, which enriches my creative experience.
I love exploring other creative pursuits during my free time
In addition to those interests, I enjoy a variety of creative hobbies such as video editing, graphic designing, photography, singing, and oil pastel art. These activities allow me to express myself in different ways and bring a sense of fun and relaxation to my life.
